What is the cause of abnormal sound when the cardan shaft is running?

When the cardan shaft is operating, it is in our production workshop on the spot, the video is not significant, the specific left is more serious, there is no problem to look right, what is going on?


From the video shooting alone, it should be that the cross shaft assembly on one side is broken, and the roller bearing is worn out, resulting in the increase of the installation gap of the cross shaft assembly, and the abnormal sound caused by the assembly shaking inside the rolling bearing hole.

It is proposed to shut down and disassemble the cardan shaft and check whether the cross shaft assembly is intact, whether the roller bearing is deformed by extrusion molding, whether the fork head is cracked, remove dirty things, and check security risks. Since there is no technical and professional disassembly tool in the production workshop on the spot, it is proposed to return the cardan shaft to its original assembly for maintenance.


Remember that it is not necessary to let the cardan shaft "with fault" work, which is very easy to cause unexpected adverse effects. Although manufacturing is key, safety should come first.


So we can do a comprehensive inspection of the cardan shaft and disassemble the parts?

As you can see, the cross bag is not accurately positioned with a spring plate (flat washers for holes), and the stationary assembly is fixed only with a device close to the anchor bolt, without ensuring that the assembly installation gap should be 0. Axle diameters in the range of mm -0.15mm can move the gap provisions.


To say an aside, there is no qualified paint solution for the cardan axis, nor should it be. The quality of the cardan shaft should be a perfect step of the production system, only pay attention to one point and two points, no overall quality awareness is not desirable.


In which the cross shaft assembly as a key component of the cardan shaft, raw material selection and manufacturing process must be strictly controlled. Customer first is what matters.
