Advantages and limitations of metal and non-metal elastic couplings

Advantages:

Non-metallic elastic coupling:

Torsion is soft and can withstand greater deviation than all metal products.

Elastomers of various forms and materials can be selected to meet different needs.

Compared with all metal products, under the same opening requirements, the price of non-metallic products is lower.

All-metal elastic coupling:

Under high torque requirements, all metal products are smaller and have less installation space.

Can withstand high running speed, can adapt to a large diameter range;

Limitations:

Non-metallic elastic coupling:

Cannot be used for high temperature or chemical corrosion resistance.

With too little torque, it's usually impossible to steer accurately. Except qs products, all can not meet the requirements of zero rotation.

Under the same torque requirements, larger volume, larger space required.

Some types of products do not have good over torque load capacity.
