Does cardan pin hardness have any effect on torque?

Generally speaking, the elastic pin is used on the TL type elastic sleeve pin cardan shaft, which mainly plays the role of driving two half couplings to fix and transfer. Whether the hardness of the pin will change the torque of the cardan shaft, for the standard data, the fixed number and size of the backrest pin and the material will not change the torque too much, and if the number increases or the size of the cardan shaft pin increases, the torque of the cardan shaft will change.


When processing cardan shaft, we should follow the data of the National Machinery standard. If the cardan shaft designed by ourselves, the torque is too large or too small, it will affect the use of the cardan shaft. Because if the torque does not meet the rated use requirements, the torque or speed of the cardan shaft will not meet the use requirements, which will cause the cardan shaft to break during operation.

If the torque of the cardan shaft designed by the designer is too large, it may not have much impact on the cardan shaft itself, but it will make the motor end shaft or the end shaft of the reducer not use normally because the driving torque is too large, which can not protect the cardan shaft, so the designer must pay attention to the point when designing.
