Couplings work specifically with elastomers

When the coupling is used in special working environment:


1. Stainless steel coupling such as G1TS, T2TS, G2CS, G3TS, G3CS and G5CS can be selected in corrosion resistant environment; slide block coupling G4T and G4C can be selected in high temperature resistant environment.


2. When selecting the coupling, please note that the rated torque on the data must be greater than the system load torque. The rated torque has taken into account the variable load factor during operation, so there is no need to adjust the rated torque value when selecting the coupling. When choosing the coupling size, please note that the load torque generated by continuous operation should be lower than the rated torque.


3, confirm the coupling design aperture, return speed conditions can not exceed the maximum aperture, the highest return speed on the data. If the maximum aperture or maximum rotation speed cannot meet the design conditions, please change the size.


4, finally confirm whether the coupling size, specification table and other values are also in line with the relevant conditions of the design.

Coupling installation process:

1, before the installation of the coupling should first check the prime mover and working machine two axes concentric, two shaft surface is there wrapping paper and bruising, plum coupling two half coupling hole whether there is debris, hole edge whether there is bruising, if there should be the shaft, half coupling clean up, bruising with fine file. Then check whether the diameter and length of the inner hole of the two half couplings are consistent with the diameter of the prime mover, the working machine and the shaft extension length. General selection, let the prime mover and working machine end half coupling length less than the shaft elongation of 10-30mm.


2, in order to facilitate the installation of couplings, it is best to put the two half couplings in the 120-150 incubator or oil tank for preheating, so that the size of the inner hole rises and it is easy to install. After installation, ensure that the shaft head cannot protrude out of the end face of the half coupling, so as to be flush. Test the distance between the two halves of the coupling: along the flange of the half coupling two inner measured 3--4 points to take the average reading, and the extension section and two diaphragm group measured size sum, both error control within the range of 0 -- 0.4mm.


3, coupling alignment: use dial indicator detection of two half coupling flange end face and outer runout, when the flange outer circle is less than 250mm runout value should not be greater than 0.05mm; When the outer circle of the flange is greater than 250mm, the runout value should not be greater than 0.08.


4. Install the coupling bolt: put the bolt through the outer side of the flange hole, and put the cushion sleeve, elastic washer and nut on the outer side of the big hole of the other flange, and tighten the nut with a wrench. In case of installation discomfort or removal and replacement, without damage to the shaft and half, after installation, free rotation without other strength is better.


5. Notice to coupling operators: Before starting the equipment, check whether the nut of the coupling is loose or falling off. If so, tighten the nut with a wrench in time.

Elastomer components of coupling:

Coupling elastomers are generally made of engineering plastics or rubber. The life of the coupling is also the life of the elasticity. Because the coupling elasticity is compression and obvious tension. The average lifespan of elastomers is 10 years. Because elasticity has the function of buffering and damping vibration, it is used more in the case of strong vibration. The performance limit temperature of coupling elastomer determines the operating temperature of coupling, which is generally -35 to +80 degrees.
