A diaphragm coupling consists of at least one diaphragm and two shaft sleeves. The diaphragm is fastened to the bushing with pins without loosening or causing recoil between the diaphragm and the bushing. Some manufacturers offer two diaphragms, while others offer three diaphragms with one or two rigid elements in the middle, connected to the sleeves on both sides. The difference between a single diaphragm coupling and a double diaphragm coupling is the ability to deal with various deviations, which requires complex bending of the diaphragm, so the single diaphragm coupling is not suitable for eccentricity. The double diaphragm coupling can bend in different directions at the same time to compensate for eccentricity.
