Advantages and application fields of high speed diaphragm coupling

The basic structure of high performance diaphragm coupling is two special metal diaphragm of unequal thickness, two fairing and an intermediate shaft, connected by precision bolts. Torque is transmitted from the drive shaft through a rigid hub and then through a flexible diaphragm disc to the compartment. In transferring torque, the diaphragm ADAPTS to misalignment by deforming. The matching of the bushing drive connection on the driven device to accomplish torque transfer. The high speed and high performance diaphragm coupling can effectively absorb the position error of the transmission (rotation) parts, and can compensate in a pure elastic way under the condition of large axial, radial and Angle deviation between the connected shafts. It is a flexible transmission product with low additional bending moment and high performance specially developed for high-speed rotating machinery. Coupling is mainly used in oil refining and petrochemical compressor units, gas and steam turbine generator sets and special pumps and other high-speed equipment in different industries. TARR series should be preferred for general high-speed units, which are easy to be disassembled and repaired. TARM series is recommended for units requiring higher additional bending moment at shaft end, which can reach peak bending moment at small shaft end and has good dynamic characteristics. TARS series should be preferred for units with small shaft spacing, which can reach the peak of small design shaft spacing. TAHP series is recommended for honing units with higher requirements on axial displacement, which can reach the peak of large axial displacement compensation.
