Rigid flange coupling is a torsionally rigid coupling that has no backlash even when subjected to load, and transmits torque rigidly even when there is a load due to deviation. If there is a slight deviation in the system, it will cause premature damage to the shaft, bearing or coupling, which means that it cannot be used in a high-speed environment, because it cannot compensate for the relative displacement between the shafts due to the high temperature generated by high-speed operation. . Of course, if the relative displacement can be successfully controlled, rigid couplings can also perform better in system applications.


Rigid flange coupling is the most widely used coupling. It is formed by bolting two half couplings with flanges. The flange shoulders and grooves of the two half couplings are centered. The torque is transmitted by the friction between the contact surfaces of the two coupling halves, and the coupling halves are connected by ordinary bolts. The hinged hole is used for centering, and the torque is directly transmitted by the extrusion between the bolt and the wall of the bolt hole. The flange coupling is easy to use, can transmit a large torque, and requires high neutrality during installation. It is mainly used in occasions with good rigidity, low speed and stable load.
